Waxing: The New Intimacy

- I had to wear a pair of paper knickers about which I'd been warned by Mrs. D. What she didn't tell me however, was that they aren't so much knickers as they are a sheer piece of gauze hanging on an elastic band! Totally useless.

- My little waxer lady kept trying to convince me to have a Brazillian but I wasn't having any of it. She said, "Next time we do Brazilian. Many women never want anythign else."

- About five minutes in, she grabed my hand, placed it on my crotch and told me to "Pull tightly."

- The whole experience was more intimate than my annual girly doctor visit

- At one point she made me get onto my hands and knees and stick my ass in her face so she could get the hard to reach areas. There was a mirror in front of me so I had to watch the whole thing. I couldn't stop laughing. It was like being in some weird fetish porno.

- She actually said to me, "Don't be embarassed I do this all the time and all woman have hair there. One woman one time say to me, 'I feel like sheep, it's not normal.' Trust me I say, It's normal."

- While on my knees she made me hold my butt cheeks apart so she could get a really good angle. Yeah.

So, after that experience I felt the need for wine and a lot of it. Ali has written a lovely recap of the maddness that ensued.

Needless to say I felt like utter crap this morning and didn't really appreciate having to go to the ENT hospital. The good news is that my ear infection has cleared and I can fly tomorrow. The bad news is that they've recommended I have an operation to repair the perforated eardrum and have put on the NHS waiting list. I'm going to get a second opinion but they seemed to know what they were talking about. Oh well, I'll worry about the op when I gets nearer the time because right now all I can think about it our trip!

We have to leave for the airport in six and a half hours which means that have to get up in about five and a half. WOOT! Hopefully I'll be so tired that I'll sleep through most of the flight. I'm so nervous - I HATE FLYING. EEK! Oh well, I have one lorazepam left and plan on taking that beforehand and concentrating on seeing my parents and getting kisses from the puglets in order to get me through it!
